Dressage mare Blue Hors Matine, whose dressage freestyle at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen became an Internet video sensation, was euthanized after breaking a leg in a paddock accident, Horse and Hound reported.
The 13-year-old Dutch mare was ridden by Andreas Helgstrand. She was retired from competition following a tendon injury at the Las Vegas World Cup in 2007.

I said good bye to Tok Teh yesterday, she was my grandmother on my dad’s side and she was 94 years old, two months short of turning 95. She was the only grandmother I had ever known. She was a quiet soft-spoken person and I am sad she has passed on.

My last entry was April?! Time really flies by especially when one is busy moving house and starting on a new job - full time! So am now learning to juggle my time between setting up our new home and making Zack’s Tack the best polo and equestrian shop in town. Multi-tasking should be a job on its own really.
Every year we have managed to have a family holiday in Hyatt Kuantan .. its a horsey holiday only because Peter goes to Pekan to play polo. In reality the kids and I don’t even go near a horse unless we tag along to see Papa play or I want to take photos of the polo action. The kids are still too young to appreciate the polo and in Pekan they don’t really have anything else to do so we try to spend the day at the pool or laze in the room.
