Not Blind to Equestrian.Com.My

Proving that Equestrian.Com.My can make a difference even in the Land of the Blind, we are happy to report that the Great Grand Poobah and Webmaster Emeritus of the Equestrian Federation of Singapore website, www.efs.org.sg has taken note of last month’s Jump-Off XI and has brought the EFS back to the same astral plane as the rest of the equestrian world.

And to think they de-linked us and claim not to read Equestrian.Com.My!

Jump To It

“Keen on taking up riding? You can now sign up at Singapore's only public riding centre that offers a first in horse-riding as a new form of recreation without the requirement for a full-term club membership.”

Since we now know that the EFS do indeed read Jump-Off, let’s just remind them that Sentosa Riding Centre has closed, so they can take the above off their website from their member clubs section.

‘Tis the Season…

…to change managers. Amidst no great fanfare at all, both the Selangor Turf Club and the Selangor Polo & Riding Club have suspended their General Managers. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.

Bank on it

Rumour is that a certain world class international show to be held in Malaysia that has been rescheduled twice (or is that thrice?) will be given the kiss of life by a certain Minister who is already said to have consented to act as Organising Chairman.

The Whitakers kick into La Coruna

Taken from Olaf Petersen’s website:
John and Michael Whitaker’s visit to the Piano bar in La Coruna, Spain did not last too long. Then they were in prison.

The whole story started with a dispute with the bartender. Nothing special. But then a guest interfered, and Michael Whitaker decided that this was not so funny. He reacted in a good old English way and kicked his opponent. It’s reported he met a special and painful part of that poor man. Unfortunately Michael did not know that this guest was a policeman. And his colleagues arrived quickly. With handcuffs.

John and Michael spent the night and the next day in a prison cell. Then a judge set them free. Too late to participate at the first competition of that day.
