EAM Appoints Trainer in Dressage & Jumping
Rumour has it that the EAM is about to appoint one local trainer to
cover both disciplines. Who can this incredible trainer be?
Enter the fray, Mr. Bean!
Graded Classes at Rolex Coronation Show
Congrats to RSPC on securing Rolex as a sponsor. But graded
showjumping classes? Next they’ll want riders to bring their
grading cards to the show!
Bolted
Shaffik Mustaffa thought he was doing the right thing by sleeping
outside the horse’s stables at the 3QE Malaysian Open. SEA Games
eventer turned derby and jumping horse “Jimmy Chow” beat him though by
having stable mate Shannon pull the bolt open from the adjoining
stable. Jimmy, who is about 18 hands small, sucked in his belly
and squeezed out through the gap between stable door and bed, carefully
tip-toeing his way past the snoring Shaffik.
And You Thought Show Stabling Was Expensive Here!
Horse & Hound Online reports that some competitors choose to travel
at antisocial hours or even decide to stay at home instead of forking
out exorbitant amounts for stabling at shows. Competitors hiring
a temporary stable at a three-day show in the UK could pay up to
£50 (RM. 300) per night.
Canon Fodder
SEA World Cup League Rafiq Radinal was seen protruding a camera with a
truly huge zoom lens around at the Malaysian Open, prompting the
inevitable comment, “My, what a big Canon you have.”
Next Time You Are In A Park
Did you know that if a statue of a person on a horse has both front
legs in the air, the person died in battle. If the horse has one front
leg in the air the person died as a result of wounds received in
battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died
of natural causes.
KL version: If all four legs are in the air, call DBKL and ask them to
take back their horse.
