Jumping Into Kiara's Dressage Arena
Kiara’s dressage arena by the main stables has now been turned into another part-time jumping arena. Dressage queens, having fought back tears, are now requesting permission to carry whips again.
No Stranglers Allowed
“Due to the recent cases of Stranglers, Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort (BKECR) requires all horses that will be entering its grounds be tested negative for Stranglers.” - Premier Cup Series notice sent to all invited clubs.
Jump-Off hopes no Stranglers will be entering Bukit Kiara. And please don’t tell the Dressage Queens about them.
NSF Sale Postponed
Due to unknown reasons, the NSF has taken the decision to postpone their sale to next year. Not due to the Strangles that caused the death of a 14 year old mare there recently then.
Preparing For Transition
EAM Executive Secretary Major ® Yap Mou Soon has been elected to the committee of the Royal Selangor Polo Club and has accepted the position of Equestrian Convenor, taking over from the (shy and) retiring Odette Cynthia Scott Grimes.
Other Transitions
Bob Blake is now recovering at home from a perforated appendix, discovered only after he changed hospitals from a private hospital to HUKM.
