A man who speaks the truth has one foot in the stirrups. ~ Armenian Proverb
Dem Pigs EAM President Dato' Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis was chased by pigs in Teluk Chempedak, Pahang recently. “I saw what looked like a group of children looking for snails near the beach. However, when I went nearer, the 'group' turned out to be some pigs. “The pigs came after me and I ran as fast as I could,'' he told the newspaper.
Jump-Off thinks all them pigs were just after some EAM loans, Dato’.
Dem Pigs II
MAFEC’s Amanda Garran, a.k.a. Amanda Commander was recently in London for her son Tim’s graduation as a veterinarian. She was on the tube heading towards King’s Cross when the 1st terrorist bomb went off. Her train was unaffected, and the passengers were not told what had happened. It didn’t stop at any more stations and ran to the end of the line.

"The Police have also been told to act on the illegal bookies," ~ Dato Ong Eng Khuan, chairman of the Totalisator Board of Malaysia (TBM).
Which begs the Jump-Off question, "When were they told not to act on illegal bookies?"
Most Substituted President
EAM President Dato’ Jamaluddin
Jarjis won an RSPC Annual Polo Award. His award? - Most Substituted
Player. A substitute picked up the prize on his behalf.
Most Substituted President
"The committee members are
getting restless Dato'. They are even saying we should have our first
committee meeting and allocate portfolios of the various sub-committees, even
though our AGM was held only six weeks ago. Don't they know we had only 3
full committee meetings in our last two years? Shall I call a meeting or just do the usual and make some decisions on your behalf?"
Macha Sings
Perak Turf Club’s Equestrian Section Manager James Ravindra performed with an All-Star RISP Band at the SEA League Event #2 at the Perak Turf Club. James took lead vocals while the rest of the Riding in Schools Programme teachers played instruments and sang. James even dedicated a song called "Kuda Hitam" to a 2001 SEA Games Eventing team-mate.
How good was James? Well, Jump-Off is glad he is in no danger of leaving his day job, especially after a very successful event.
Thambi Hitched?
Speaking of Kuda Hitam, Jump-Off is pleased to announce that the original Thambi may have met his match. He is said to be engaged to the one they call 'Le Bouef'.
Clipped and Dressed
Husref Malek had so much hair when he was back in Kuala Lumpur in April that it resembled an afro. In Ipoh this time for the SEA Eventing League #2, it was a crew cut - a real No. 1. What happened was Hus had returned to an event in Australia only to find his top hat wouldn't fit over the afro. Out came the horse clippers.
Give yourself a wedgie
A female official who shall remain nameless gave herself a giant wedgie at the
SEA Eventing League #2 when her walkie-talkie snagged on her panties.
That's what you call an official wedgie.
Ghost of Judges Past
What about the laughing ghost that disturbed three of the four lady riders who were rooming together at the SEA Eventing League #2? It sat at the edge of their beds and laughed at them. Only the dressage leader was not disturbed. Which reinforces what all good instructors say - you need to start with a good dressage test if you're to have a ghost of a chance.
Horse meat anyone?
New Zealanders were miffed to discover a restaurant selling horse steaks under the name "Mr. Ed is dead"
Dumb Students
An Oxford University student has been fined £80 — for making “homophobic comments” to a police horse.
