Updated List of Qualified Nations for the 2008 Olympic Games

Here is the updated list of National Federations qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. Please note that this list is completed with CHN and HKG NFs. 

A total of 42 Countries have qualified, either with team or individual, to participate in the 2008 Olympic Games. According to the Qualification procedures of each discipline - FEI Regulations for Equestrian Events at the Olympic Games, 22nd Edition, effective for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (Hong Kong).
National Federations have until 30 May to confirm their participation.

JUMPING

Team (16 NOCs will be qualified to take part with a team consisting of 4 riders and 4 horses or 3 riders and 3 horses as follows):

Brazil
Canada
China
Great Britain
Germany
Hong Kong
Saudi Arabia
Mexico
The Netherlands
Norway
New Zealand
Switzerland
Sweden
Ukraine
USA


Individual (15 spaces will be reserved for NOCs not represented by teams, each competitor with 1 horse, with a maximum of 2 riders per nation):

Azerbaijan – 1
Belgium – 1
Bermuda – 1
Colombia – 1
Egypt – 1
Guatemala – 1
Ireland – 1
Jordan – 1

Team (10 NOCs are qualified directly to take part with a team consisting of a maximum of 3 riders and 3 horses as follows):

in addition: «Composite» qualified teams: 3 individuals qualified from the same nation from the Olympic rankings to make up a team.
Denmark (composite team)

Individual (The following qualification places for Individuals may only be allocated to NOCs which have not qualified teams “directly”. 1 individual per NOC per regional group and fill up of quota. Each qualification place will be for 1 rider and 1 horse.)

EVENTING

Team (10 NOCs will be qualified to take part with a team consisting of a minimum of 3 riders and 3 horses, and a maximum of 5 riders and 5 horses, as follows):

In addition: qualified teams: 5 individuals qualified from the same nation from the Olympic rankings to make up a team.

Individual (The following qualification places for individuals may only be allocated to NOCs which have not qualified teams. Each qualification place will be for 1 rider and 1 horse.)
