The Federal government has told the Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM) to merge with the Malaysian Equine Council (MEM) to form one joint governing body of equine sports in Malaysia or face an embargo on funding.

Australian equestrian champion Heath Ryan is recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke while competing at an event in Camden, southwest of Sydney, on the weekend.
A spokesperson for Campbelltown Hospital said he was in a stable condition.
