Syazna Eyes 2010 Asian Games

After winning the Champions Voyage show jumping event in the Premier Cup Series yesterday, Syazna Leena Zulhasnan Rafique, has set her sights firmly on the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China and the 2011 SEA Games.

Equestrian will not be contested at the Laos SEA Games in December.

Syazna Leena, 20, who represents team 3Q rode Helu Du Codarde to victory after accumulating 31 points against a strong field of local and international riders.

She will now start preparing for the 3Q Equestrian Centre in Kuang for the 3Q Equestrian Classic, scheduled for end July.

"Yesterday's win was a boost for me to continue performing better. My main target is to represent the country at the Asia Games next year and the SEA Games in two years for show jumping events," said Syazna who is also a gold medal winner for the show jumping team event at the Korat SEA Games in 2007.

Syazna Leena who is now pursuing a law degree in London has to manage her time well between studies and her favourite sport.
