Denai Alam Recreation and Riding Centre focuses on enhancing lives

Opening its doors this weekend for a fun family day is a new addition to the equestrian community in Malaysia. Denai Alam Recreation and Riding Centre is not only a brand new centre, it is a unique concept in this part of the world. The vision of DARC is to create an affordable, safe, friendly and family orientated centre for everyone.  Activities will focus on enhancing lives and a love of the outdoors with horses and nature.

Join them on Sunday 24th January for a Fun Family Day and find out for yourself what they are planning.

The centre represents a childhood dream of Terry Teo.  He is a successful businessman and entrepreneur.  Terry’s love of horses, only possible from a great distance as he grew up in a poor family in Terrengganu, fired his wish to see children and families be given a chance to enjoy horses and all kinds of outdoor activities regardless of their circumstances.

DARC will be driven through community contribution, sponsorship and the commitment of its members to support, the centre. This can be done through help in kind (services, product), monetary sponsorship to support programmes and individual physical help through volunteering your time and effort.

The team of young enthusiastic coaches and leaders on the ground is headed by Lorna Fisher.  Lorna is the only internationally registered Level 3 Equestrian Coach Educator in the region and is a very experienced trainer in all areas of personnel development. Her presence will insure the quality, safety and standard of the programmes and activities. Her legendary sense of humour and innovative approach to training will guarantee that everyone will have fun as well as learning a lot.

“I have been waiting for a long time to find a place and people who share my vision of a centre that is available to everyone and will serve the community at large. It has been well proven in Australia, UK and America that horses and nature are a very potent combination to teach ‘Life Skills’ at all ages. I have seen lives transformed and that is what we hope to do here - transform lives”.

The Fun Family Day on Sunday 24th January is open to anyone who wants to have a look at Denai Alam Recreation and Riding Centre and anyone who wants to get involved is most welcome.
